1. Why wouldn't I just hire a full-time designer or developer?
That's a valid concern! However, hiring a full-time experienced designer or developer (or both!) comes with a hefty price tag - over $100,000 per year each, plus benefits! And let's not forget the challenge of finding someone who's both qualified and available. Even if you do manage to find the perfect candidate, there's still the issue of ensuring they have enough work to stay occupied throughout the year.
Our monthly plan offers a smart alternative. With our subscription model, you can easily pause and later resume your as needed, ensuring you only pay for the time we’ve spend working on your tasks. Plus, you'll have access to request everything from minor tweaks to large-scale design & development projects. It's the perfect solution for businesses that need occasional design support without the burden of a full-time salary or even the average start-up that is looking to get their idea off the ground and are not ready to hire a full-time designer or developer.
2. Is there a limit to how many tasks I can place?
With any one of our subscription plans, you will be able to add as many tasks to your board as you'd like and they will be delivered to you one by one. Make sure to place your most important tasks at the top of the list, so we can get to them first. If you have a large project that requires multiple tasks, please separate them into individual tasks and place them on your board in the order you'd like them to be completed (e.g. you need a design for one website and some custom development for another).
3. How long does it take to get a task done?
Normally, most requests are completed in 1 to 2 days. However, more complex requests - such as fully custom websites with custom animations and 3D for example, or custom web platforms with specific authentication solutions or maybe you want a SaaS developed from scratch. - those will take longer to complete.
4. Who is behind Designsxl?
Designsxl is operated by two guys only: Georgi (the designer) and Asen (the developer). That means that you’ll work directly with us and get results with a consistently high quality. Even for more complex projects. You’ll be surprised by our combination of speed & quality.
5. How does "Pausing" my subscription work?
Sometimes you may not have enough design tasks to fill up entire month. You may only have one or two requests at the moment. That's where taking a break from your subscription becomes a valuable option.
Each subscription plan is based on a 31-day billing cycle. Suppose you sign up and use the service for 21 days, and then decide to pause your subscription. This means that the billing cycle will be paused, and you'll have 10 days of service remaining to be used at any time in the future.
6. What programs do you use for designs?
Most requests are designed in Figma, but we can also offer work in Adobe Illustrator & Adobe Photoshop.
7. What technologies do you use for development?
We can build your websites with simple platforms like Webflow, Wix, Shopify etc. For some projects we may use WordPress, while others are made from scratch. This all depends on the complexity of the project and your specific needs. You can always ask us for a recommendation. Or you may already have a website build with a specific technology and you want to continue with it. We are flexible and can work with most of the technologies out there. No matter if it's a simple website, a complex web platform or a SaaS. We can handle it!
8. I just subscribed! How do I place my first request on Designsxl?
Designsxl offers a ton of flexibility in how you place your requests. Common ways, in which clients request designs is directly via Trello, sharing wireframes in Figma, showing us their website ideas in Google Docs or even recording a brief Loom video (for those who prefer not to write a brief). Basically, if it can be linked to or shared with us in Trello, we’ll be able to start working on right away!
9. What happens, if I don't like your design?
Our vision might differ sometimes from what you originally intended, but no worries! We'll provide unlimited revisions of the design until you're 100% satisfied with it.
10. Is there any design or development work you don't cover?
Totally. Designsxl does not cover the following design work: 3D modeling, animated graphics (GIFS, etc.), document design (medical forms, etc.), complex packaging design, and extensive print design (magazines, books, etc.).
Regarding development, we won’t be able to help you with projects that are not online. Examples of that are embedded software solutions, hardware development and custom algorithms. But everything else is very much on the table! Even if you simply want us to help you the software architecture of your project in the cloud - we are there for you!
